The entire region of the Algarve offers many entertainment opportunities for all groups and ages, and the Algarve nightlife is a well-known throughout the party circles; you’ll be glad to hear that the Alvor nightlife does not disappoint that reputation.
Alvor features a plethora of bars, restaurants and clubs to choose from, the overall atmosphere is a bit less crazy than in nearby Praia da Rocha, sure, but Alvor can still throw a proper party while at the same time also offering you the chance of simply having a quiet cocktail.

These are of course designed to bring back the loyal local following, but there’s nothing to stop tourists from taking advantage of them.
For those of you who are looking for a particular brand of nightlife entertainment, the world-renown Irish bar, well rest assured that you’ll find not only one but two such establishments in Alvor: Paddy’s bar and The Black Stove Irish Bar.
Paddy’s Bar was the first Irish bar to spring up in Alvor and was actually one of the first Irish bars in the entire region of the Algarve. In traditional fashion this is a place where you can enjoy draft ales and stout, live music, alongside the good company typical of such a bar.
